Precious metal clay contains microscopic particles of silver or gold, which are suspended in a pliable organic matter. When the metal clay is fired at high temperatures in a kiln, the binder burns away and the metal particles fuse into pure (0.999) silver or gold. Casts for the PMC pieces are taken from vintage buttons, usually from the early 1900′s. Because each PMC pendant is made by hand, slight variations will occur. No two pieces ever the same.
